Author Details...
George R. Bach, Ph. D., was a best-selling author and internationally known psychologist whose career spanned over 45 years, much of it spent in private practice in the Los Angeles area. He received his Ph.D. from University of Iowa and taught there, as well as at four other universities. Dr. Bach was one of the earliest psychologists writing clinically relevant and popular self-help books. His Creative Aggression and The Inner Enemy are widely viewed as the classics they are, still capable of providing valuable assistance to readers around the globe. Dr. Bach founded and directed the Institute of Group Psychotherapy in Beverly Hills, California. There, working with his private clients and a small group of scientists he developed the theory of “constructive aggression” on which he later based a book. Dr. Bach was an editor of three scientific journals; past president of the west coast chapter, American Academy of Psychotherapists; and past president of the Group Therapy Association of Southern California.
