Nellie Kidd-Madison, a resident of Echo, Oregon, is a homemaker and mother of four. She is also a proud grandmother. She and her husband John met 47 years ago at Oregon State College where she majored in Home Economics and John earned his degree in agriculture. Together, with their children, they lived a busy and productive life as farmers. Her family was chosen by the Reagan Administration as a Great American Family. Then when John was in his 50's he was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease. That was some 13 years ago. Today Nellie is a full-time caregiver for her husband and works to promote awareness of Alzheimer’s Disease.
